Strings in Greece
The art option is open to everyone, no matter whether
one is a complete beginner or someone who has had plenty of art practice. Three dimensional work and installations are encouraged as much as painting, drawing, photography, video and digital imaging.
The island has a fantastic variety of visual subject matter; dramatic landscapes, many set against a backdrop of deep blue sea or the mountains of the southern Pelopponese . Plunging cliffs, isolated beaches, lush wooded valleys and gorges, waterfalls, hillside villages and historic sites and castles are just some of the possible subjects.
In addition, there is a rich history ranging from Minoan, Phoenician and Mycenean times to more recent occupation by Ottomans, Venetians and English, as well as being the mythic birthplace of Aphrodite. The archaeological record is well represented in the museum in Chora

We exhibit all our work publicly at the end of the week in dedicated gallery spaces, most recently in the Follow Your Art gallery in Kapsali
Some art materials are available at a small charge but it is recommended you also bring your own preferred materials and equipment. Sourcing and using local found materials is encouraged!
