Access to Art 10.00 on Monday 18th to 16:00 Friday 22nd May 2020 This five-day course, based in the Follow Your Art Gallery located on the waterfront in Kapsali, has grown out of art options offered to Strings in Greece participants over previous years. The course is open to anyone with an interest in observing, reflecting and interpreting the world as they experience it, whether as a complete beginner or someone who has had plenty of previous art practice. Three dimensional work and installations are encouraged as much as painting, drawing, photography, video and digital imaging. Those taking part share knowledge and skills to create individual and collective work based on an agreed theme. The course leads to a public exhibition with work created during the course being on sale to the public. Proceeds ogo to supporting the Kythira Community Strings Orchestra set up by Allcomers Music in May 2019. Available are a range of acrylic and other water based paints, papers, brushes, materials and tools that can be used for collage and construction, and facilities to mount and display work. Sourcing and using local found materials is encouraged! In addition to these resources we recommend, as far as is practicable, bringing your own preferred materials and equipment. The cost of the course is £50 to help cover some of the costs with sourcing and purchasing materials and the use of the Gallery .
