Allcomers Music was established in 2009  and grew out of one of many projects initiated under the umbrella of the East London Late Starters Orchestra. As a social enterprise, any profits made by Allcomers Music go back to support and develop its music-making activities. To date the focus has been on securing a strong musical presence on the Greek  island of Kythira, purchasing a stock of cellos  and commissioning new orchestral music by Greek composers.

Allcomers Music repertoire is wide ranging with baroque and classical to romantic, modern works forming the core of its repertoire. Commissioned and contemporary works also feature. Rehearsals are friendly and informative, conducive to learning, building confidence and making real progress as a musician. Our tutors, as leading professionals, give concerts as well as being inspirational teachers.

Allcomers Music objectives are to
-      Deliver world-class music-making activities for musicians with diverse musical experience and interests.
-      Develop activities based on the philosophy that it is never to late to learn and excel
-      Offer encouraging learning environments conducive to building confidence and making real progress as a musician.
-      Work with distinguished musicians who are inspirational tutors.
-      Use outstanding locations throughout the UK, Europe and beyond. 
-      Build a network of musicians keen to explore a wide range of repertoire, including contemporary works.
-      Link with composers to develop the repertoire for mixed ability ensembles

In the longer term we are keen to develop a major month long festival of arts.
