Midwinter Strings
Thursday 2nd to Monday 6th January (Oxford, UK)
Based at St Hilda's College overlooking the Christchurch meadows and spires of Oxford, the course uses the fabulous Jacqueline du Pre Music Building for rehearsals and concerts. A great way of putting seasonal 'celebrations behind you, welcoming in the New Year wih wonderful music, fantastic tutors and good company. Baroque, classical and romantic repertoire all feature whilst a parallel course provides opportunities to collaborate with living composers.

Monday 18th to Friday 22ndMay (Kythira, Greece)
A five-day course sharing knowledge and skills to create individual and collective work based on an agreed theme. The course leads to a gallery exhibition with work produced on sale to the public, the proceeds of which go to supporting the Kythira Community String Orchestra set up by Allcomers Music in May 2019. No previous art experience is necessary, simply an interest in observing, reflecting and interpreting the world as one experiences it.

Concert Strings in Greece
Friday 22nd to Sunday 31st May (Kythira, Greece)
Morning and evening rehearsals lead to an end of course concert to capacity audiences with the Potamos Philharmoniki and the newly established Kythira Community Strings Orchestra. We cover all music, from the baroque to the present and often include works specially written for the ensemble by Greek composers and by members of the Allcomers ensemble itself. The focus is on peorformance skills, ensuring we communicates our love of music to others.
Bookings open. All grades from 3/4+ to 7/8+. Places left: 9 x violin, 4 viola, 1 x cello. Double bass (bookings closed)

Lethe - a Mythical Musical
Sunday 31st May to Sunday 7th June (Kythira, Greece)
Imagination, words, music and movement will all be brought to bear in a production that expresses the enduring meaning of Greek myths. The Lethe - the river of forgetfulness - will serve as the focus for creative theatre making that will also draw on the birth of Aphrodite and the elopement of Paris and Helen, both associated with the island of Kythira. The course, directed by Lore Lixenberg, is based in a outdoor amphitheatre and leads to public performance.
Bookings now open. All levels of experience catered for. Places currently available for musicians, actors, dancers and backstage roles.

Friday 11th to Sunday 20th September (Kythira, Greece)
By allocating each player to two ensembles for the week the course enables everyone to play with as many others as possible in a chamber setting. Music covers the whole range of string chamber repertoire. Playing will be organised around morning and evening sessions that also include daily orchestral practice. Subject to creating well-balanced ensembles, we can accept players with limited experience as well as satisfying the demands of players who are grade 7/8+.
